	The AutoDSL 256 can communicate to DSLAM to perform the single end test, the measured parameters can be used to evaluate the line conditions.
	Auto DSL Loop Qualification	top
	DSLs should provide the greatest loop coverage of the lowest cost. The cost to turn up and maintain service is of great importance. Unfortunately, DSLs cannot operate on all loops. Thus, when a customer requests DSL-based service, it is first necessary to determine if the customer's loop will permit DSL operation. The AutoDSL 256 ( Master ) and AutoDSL 250 ( Slave ) use of the highly accurate two-ended loop measurement method can provide useful wideband measurements to characterize DSL suitability. In addition to the conventional metallic measurements and TIMS functions, it can provide a good estimate for wideband loop loss, loading coil detection, bridged tap detection, the power spectral density of crosstalk noise and the maximum achievable data rate with minimum cost and time consumption. With a complementary cost effective AutoDSL 250 Transponder, which can co-ordinate with the AutoDSL 256 Test set to provide a complete auto test by just one press on the "Auto" key of the master unit.

	Actual crosstalk measurement in the field:
	Not only can AutoDSL 256 measure wideband noise with F filter for HDSL and G filter for ADSL but also work like a spectrum analyzer to measure PSD of crosstalk or background noise with narrowband noise measurements in Auto-sweep-mode. Combined with frequency response of insertion loss the actual SNR for each band can be easily classified. For high input impedance and wideband level measurement it can monitor the actual output power of DSL modem during operation.
